If you’ve moved your website to another hosting provider, or simply don’t need a particular hosting account anymore, you can delete it from the client area.
Deleting your account
Hosting accounts must be deactivated before they can be deleted. Deactivating your account will take down all websites on it and remove all domain names, but your files, databases and other settings will be retained until the account is fully deleted.
To deactivate your hosting account:
- Login to the client area.
- Go to the Accounts list.
- Click the account you want to delete.
- Go to the Account Settings page in the sidebar.
- Scroll down to the Deactivate Account section.
- Click the deactivate button and confirm your request.
- Wait for the deactivation to complete (this usually takes around 10 minutes).
Once deactivated, you can delete the account permanently. If you don’t delete it manually, deactivated accounts are automatically deleted after 60 days.
To delete a deactivated account:
- Login to the client area.
- Go to the Accounts list.
- Click the deactivated account.
- Go to the Account Settings page in the sidebar.
- Scroll down to the Delete Account section.
- Click the delete button and confirm your request.
- Wait for the deletion to complete.
If you change your mind after deactivating but before deleting, you can reactivate the account from the same Account Settings page, as long as you have fewer than three active accounts.
If your account is suspended
If your account is temporarily suspended for hitting a daily limit, it will automatically be reactivated after 24 hours. Once the suspension is lifted, you can deactivate and delete the account as described above.
If your account is suspended for abuse, it cannot be deactivated or deleted manually. These accounts are automatically deleted after 60 days. Domain names on suspended accounts are locked and cannot be removed or reused on our platform. However, your domain is still registered with your domain registrar, and you’re free to use it with another hosting provider.
