Websites, FTP, and Control Panel Inaccessible

Websites, FTP, and Control Panel Inaccessible

Earlier this hour, all of iFastNet’s services appear to have gone down.

Which components are affected by this issue

This includes all free hosting services, including all websites, FTP, the control panel, and also all premium services.

What issues may you see

Since all services are down, you’ll be unable to access account services and websites hosted on our platform.

When will this issue be resolved

We are doing our best to get these issues resolved as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we don’t have enough details to tell how soon that will be.

What can you do to fix this

Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done from your end to speed up the process.
At this time, it is recommended that you wait out the outage.

Update

Most services appear to have been restored! There are still some occasional downtimes reported however, and the control panel remains inaccessible.

Update #2:

All services appear to have been restored.

We are aware of the issue and are doing our best to get this resolved as soon as possible.

We completely understand that this may cause confusion and you will have additional questions. We are happy to provide any information we have to help you.

However, to keep the contents of this topic clean, clear and concise, I ask that you carefully read the Outage Communication Rules before posting.

In a nutshell:

  • Please keep the posts about the outage in this topic, and all posts not about this outage outside of this topic.
  • Please post relevant questions only that have not been answered yet. It may be compelling to ask obvious questions like “when will this be fixed”, but basic information like that will be put in this message as soon as we know it.
  • Please carefully check the known symptoms and affected components.
    • If you are on the affected components, you are almost certainly affected by the outage. If so, please refrain from simply stating you are affected, it does not help get your service back up faster.
    • If you are not on the affected components but do experience all of the symptoms, please say so below so we can check if our list is incomplete.
    • If you do not experience all listed issues and are not on the components that are known to be affected, the issue you are experiencing is most likely not related to this outage. If so, please create a new topic in the Hosting Support category and describe the issue there.
  • If you say you are affected by the outage, please always include your website URL. I can’t check if you are affected by the outage if you don’t say which of your websites is affected.

Posts that do not follow these rules may be deleted without warning. This is to help ensure that all the relevant information is easily available to everyone reading this topic.

This issue seems to be world-wide as in effecting all websites of infinityfree.

Same for both my sites hosted here. No idea when the outage will be over, but it seems like the ifastnet page is also down according to this: Ifastnet.com - Is Ifastnet Down Right Now?

Whatever it is that went wrong under the hood, hopefully it resolves soon.

EDIT: this was posted before the mods asked not to “me too” things. The “isitdown” link is still useful though, especially since the site went down again for a bit. NOTE: I do not own isitdown. It’s not spam. It’s just a website that lets you know if a website is down and how long it’s been down.

Hello,
It will take maybe 0.5-3 hours.

But there was a time when it was down for more than 24 hours (11-12 August 2019).

Coincidentally, Today is August 11 2023.

I was just about to test what my site looked like without being logged in and down it went! Glad to hear I’m not alone.

And down again today 12/Aug/19 and the sites they host…considering it was down for 24 hours yesterday this is really poor!

Still down 11-Aug-2019 at 13:32 (UCT+2)

The site was down on 11-12 August 2019 for more than 24 hours.

Today is 11 August 2023. Can that mean it will take more than 24 hours???

This really is such a big coincidence. The same day, 4 years later?

Hi,
Could you please provide any alternative websites or other forums where we can get updates. I have domains in ifastnet.com and the main website ifastnet.com itself is down. Since I am aware of this infinityfree I was able to get an update here. Please provide any third party communication channels also to get update on this, just in case this website is down.
Thank you

Hello @engage

This forum is hosted independently of iFastNet services, so it (hopefully) won’t be going down anytime soon. There is no other official way of getting updates besides here and iFastNet.

To me, some of my sites are down; some are not. But FTP / Control Panel / iFastNet main site are all up.

It looks like some services went down briefly again, but should be operational now.

I can confirm that not all services are fully operational yet as of August 11 at 01:05 UTC.

is it ok if I ask what caused the outage

Seems like that the electricity was cut off from the Datacenter which IFastNet uses.
