Error Message

Upload error You exceeded website size limit (100 MB).

Other Information

I still have 4532 MB available, but it won’t let me upload any images. And those are no lager than 1 mb.

I’ve just tried and I can upload files directly through the file manager. Just not through the gallery of the Website builder

Sounds like a potential issue with the gallery tool.

but there are individual file size limits to be aware of:

And the gallery also can’t see the file that I’ve just uploaded through the file manager. Even if I press “scan for unused files” it finds nothing

One more thing. I’ve just deleted 2 pictures from the gallery. I still cannot upload anything.

The free plan of Site.Pro has a limit of 100 MB per website, but any of the upgrade plans will remove that limit.

This is independent of the disk space limit of your hosting account. Which can contain multiple websites, and files which are not managed by Site.Pro.

Yes, that’s how Site.Pro works. You build your website in the builder, and that’s published to your hosting account. You cannot edit the files on your hosting account, and doing so anyway won’t feed the changes back into the website builder. The builder is leading, and when you publish it, it will just overwrite your changes if it needs to to publish your site.

You could use the Picture URL feature to manually link the image from your website into the builder. But then you cannot manage it from the gallery in Site.Pro.

I don’t know that feature, but I think it means “check if there are any files in the gallery that I don’t use on my website”. That’s helpful to remove unused images, but if you don’t have unused images, then it won’t find anything.

  1. I have deleted some pictures but I cannot upload any new ones.
  2. I don’t quite understand. What do you mean “that’s how Site.Pro works”. What is Site.Pro? The builder? It’s like a separate entity with its own limits? So how can I manage my website without this Site.Pro?

Site pro is the online builder. But you can use an FTP client like FileZilla to upload files made using any other software you like

I don’t know exactly how Site.Pro manages their storage.

Site.Pro is the website builder we provide (as evidenced by the Site.Pro logo in the top right corner of the builder).

Site.Pro is indeed it’s own entity. It has it’s own features and limits which are independent of your hosting account.

But you’re by no means required to use Site.Pro. Our hosting is a blank canvas and you can host any PHP/MySQL-based website with us. This article covers a few different methods you could use to build your website:

If you don’t want to use Site.Pro, you can switch to something else instead. However, do realize that you may need to recreate your entire website in a new system to do that.

Thanks to all.
I somehow missed the info that I’m not required to use Site.Pro and it’s a separate entity. Damn, this version was so limited  I’m moving to WordPress. Rebuilding the whole website is not a big problem, it still was far from finished.
