I would advise you contact infinityfree’s support in regards to this as advised:

Please contact the provider for those name servers to resolve the issues with the name servers and then update the name servers at Absolute Hosting by changing the order of the name servers and saving the changes, alternatively once the issue with the name servers has been resolved please let us know we can update them to ns1.infinityfree.com and ns2.infinityfree.com.

Should you have any further questions then please do not hesitate to contact us.

We’re still South Africa’s TOP Registrar as nominated by ZADNA

I’m happy to assist you where needed.

The easier methods to verify your domain name (and point it to our hosting) is by changing the naemservers. But it sounds like your domain provider is refusing to update the nameservers.

And what are these supposed issues with the nameservers that they claim we should fix? Because as far as I know, our nameservers are working as intended.

The most common reason that registrars and registries refuse to update nameservers is that they require the domain to be setup in the nameservers before they will let you point your domain to those nameservers. If so, that problem, is described here:

And as the article also says: the way to solve it is by using CNAME verification instead.
