Create account and change nameservers in domain

Hello,
I want to transfer the construction of my website from the company ecowebhosting.co.uk with the domain webdevbuilder.tech located in the company get.tech to InfinityFree.
So what is the procedure regarding NAMESERVERS and what else is needed to be working?

Thanks a lot

Hello I have input the Infinityfree nameservers at get.tech and there is no any success yet.
There is a message that say you must update or change the nameservers at domain provider.
So is there any way to fix this?
The database must be also uploaded in Infinityfree?
I have choose the free hosting…!
Thanks

This is what I see

So please do this

I believe this is wrong

as it does not look like a domain registrar

At first sight it doesn’t, but when you scroll down or click a button when the page actually loaded in there’s actually a domain searching feature which allows you to add it to your cart and complete the purchase, though that website is a reseller as the real registrar is Dotserve.

If your website has one, then yes, of course.

It is, though it’s a restrictive one

Well, first you need to set your domain’s nameservers to InfinityFree’s nameservers. Right now they are not:

You can do this by following the instructions @JxstErg1 provided.

Well , this is what I see

Odd. For me after the initial text animation plays out it becomes this:

For whatever reason I guess it’s having trouble loading when you visit it.

I see the same thing Kang does for a solid 4 seconds before the entire page loads, pretty bad design if you ask me.

Either way, @Aristos, you’ll need to login to Dotserve (It looks like this might be there login page, but not sure, there website is not very good: https://controlpanel.tech/) and change your nameservers per the guide

Hello, thanks a lot for your answers and your suggestions!
I attach you a screenshot from the Control Panel of get.tech about domain nameservers.
Screenshot 2024-08-07 005039|690x300
So where I must input and change the nameservers in which field?
I know at the fields about NS 1, NS 2 and other but what nameservers I must insert, from the Eco Web Hosing provider or from the InfinityFree and what exactly?

Yours sincerely,

You’ll have to use the “Default NS 1” and “Default NS 2” fields so that they have respectively ns1.infinityfree.com and ns2.infinityfree.com as values, removing the old nameservers from Eco Web Hosting in all fields. After this, save and wait until the nameserver change propagates before you can add your domain on your hosting account or create a new one with that domain.

Ah, I recognize that panel! So I can tell you that you’re looking in the wrong place. Those settings are the default nameservers for new orders. They don’t affect any domain names you already have.

The nameservers of your domain can be edited by following these steps:

  1. Go to Manage Orders → List/Search Orders.
  2. Click your domain name in the list.
  3. Click the “Name Servers” option.
  4. Remove all nameservers currently listed there.
  5. Fill in ns1.infinityfree.com in the Name Server 1 field, and ns2.infinityfree.com in the Name Server 2 field.
  6. Click “Update Name Servers” to save the settings.

Ok I understand that and fill the fields with Infinityfree nameservers at get.tech control panel.
I attach a screenshot!
After that how can I transfer or upload my files to InfinityFree?
Is there any field to upload by FTP or by any other way?
Thanks a lot

Now click on “Update Name Servers”, after that wait some hours for the nameserver change to propagate; afterwards you can add your domain to a hosting account or create a new hosting account with that domain, log in to the Control Panel to enable all functions, then follow this to upload your files with FTP:

If you want to transfer your existing site to here, follow this, which is also what I sent before, after you set up a connection with your FTP client:

But since you also have an Android device, looking at the last screenshot you sent, you might also be better off using another FTP client compatible with Android if your website files are on there (because FileZilla doesn’t have an Android version).

Thanks a lot, you are great JxstErg1 .
I have follow your instructions and upload my website(files) with FTP client (FileZilla) and I am waiting to active(I think it takes up to 72 hours the domain name to start working)
So when everything is fine I will send you.

Yours sincerely,
Aristos

Hello,

I have upload the files by FileZilla and the domain showing an insecure connection.
I have installed a free SSL certificate from here from CPANEL but no any success yet.
I attach you 2 screenshots.
So how can I fix this?
Is it probably from the time is needed to be updated the nameservers?

Thanks a lot

From the first screenshot I didn’t see you installed it yet, but at least you created the order and set up the record, so you can go to the order page and, if the Client Area (not the Control Panel) says the DNS record is ready you can request the certificate, wait some time until it’s issued, refresh the page and install it, then wait some time for it to work on your website.

For starters, the certificate request is Pending. This means you don’t have an SSL certificate yet, which means it cannot be installed yet.

To actually get an SSL certificate installed, you need to complete the rest of the process. It should be pretty self explanatory if you actually click the certificate in the list. But if not, it’s covered in more detail in this guide:

I have installed the Google trust certificate SSL and I think is have activated.
Can you check it if everything is ok?
I attach you screenshots.
Also I have seen that at the end of url - domain there is some characters.
Why is it happening?
How can I fix this?

Thanks a lot
