Because your website is probably not currently through a Cloudflare proxy (not orange cloud)
self-sig cert serves for INTERNAL communication between CF and ORIGIN
not for visits to your website directly via browser.

Or your browser cached the certificate (old self-sig)

And please stay on topic - discussing certificates etc. is offtopic

so i gotta do alfie @ www and allat in the dns redirecting to the ip?

like this it still doesnt show the website on my domain?

the thing worked before this idk

Thank you, but I was already using the “Always Use HTTPS” The problem lay in the DNS setup, cloudflare fetched all the unnecessary records from Infinityfree DNS so I had to manually remove and set up new records, but now everything is working perfectly.

You’re responding to a post from two years ago, when the initial post was made the information shared wasn’t included in the original article, so the post mentioned them for inclusion.

SSL handshake failed Error code 525

The “SSL handshake failed” error usually means that you have configured Cloudflare to use “Full” or “Full (strict)”, but no SSL certificate is installed.

This guide goes into more detail about that:
