The issues should now be resolved.

The issues were caused by problems during the SSL certificate renewal for free subdomains. Most certificates have now been renewed successfully. Fixes have been implemented to prevent similar issues during future renewals.

this is still happening for me

most likely issue is caching. Please try clearing your browser cache and trying again (CTRL f5 will usually do the job).

If that doesn’t work, please share your link and a screenshot of the error message

Is this related somehow with not able to add an SSL to my newly added domain (self-owned)? Clicking the “Add SSL Certificate +” dropdown but nothing happens..

Please follow the topic rules listed at the bottom of the original post.

Please note that:

If you say the issue is still happening, then please do share a URL where we can check it.

Please note that:

Your issue ticks none of the boxes suggesting that it might be related other than “it’s also related to SSL”. So you can safely assume that it’s not related.

you need to remove the www. from the beginning in your wordpress settings

Ohh ok I will try that

Edit: Didn’t work but I updated wordpress in softaculous then updated it and it worked. I don’t really know what fixed it tbh because it could have been the domain change.

Both websites you listed are working fine from here, and have valid SSL.

The first website doesn’t work because WordPress is unable to connect to the database, but that’s unrelated to this outage.
