Prestashop error 500 in previous versions

I’ve been trying to install older versions of PrestaShop from Softaculous, as I wanted to try Printful, and it doesn’t support PrestaShop version 9. However, when installing any of the older versions, if I try to access the PrestaShop admin, it throws up the error: The page bolaocho.infinityfree.me cannot process this request at this time.
HTTP ERROR 500. If I access the website, it shows me as a visitor, the site only contains an image and some text, as if PrestaShop wasn’t installed correctly. Now, if I install version 9, it works perfectly. Do I need to configure anything special for versions prior to 9 to work?
I’d appreciate any help you can give me…

What’s the version of PrestaShop you’re trying to install? Do you know what version of PHP it requires?

If you mean PrestaShop 8 then it will not work with the current PHP version

In addition to what has been said before about the PHP versions.

We regularly get messages here about Printful, there actually was one just yesterday. Most people try to use it with WooCommerce: WooCommerce Printful Webhook Blocked by mod_security

But the answer is always the same: it will not work due to free hosting restrictions. Printful needs to call webhooks on your site to work, but they are blocked by this security system:

So to be clear: this is a hosting restriction which appears to be fundamentally incompatible with Printful’s integration. It’s not a problem with your website software, so switching from WooCommerce to Prestashop, or downgrading to an older PrestaShop version will not fix it.

Ok, I was trying my best to get it to work, but I see that it can’t, since it won’t let me change the PHP version and the other incompatibilities mentioned… Thank you all very much for the info.

After 9, I only have 1.7 and lower available, but since it is not compatible with the PHP version and I cannot change the version, they cannot be installed apparently.
