Hi

I am uploading my website which uses the Salient theme from Envato. While uploading, one of the files - salient-studio-templates.php - disappears when uploaded. Success is reported but an instant later, the file disappears. I have tried re-downloading the offending plugin through WordPress and the zip file downloads and also disappears a moment later making me think this is getting caught by a virus scanner. Up until revamping my website today, this file was fine on the server - I’m wondering if it is now being caught as a false positive?

This theme is from a reputable company and worked fine before.

Is there any way to report the file as possible false positive? Any help would be appreciated.

Kind regards

Andrew

Can you please first check the size of that file? There is a file size limit of 1 MB for PHP files on our hosting. From what I can tell, the file contains page templates, which sounds like it could potentially be quite big.

If it is too big, you can try to work around it by splitting the PHP file yourself. However, that’s quite a bit of work, requires some understanding of PHP code and is likely to cause problems with upgrades.

Since you already have a paid domain name and a paid WordPress theme, maybe it would be good to consider premium hosting as well? If this is a business critical website, premium hosting will help ensure that it’s faster and more reliable than it is on free hosting. And as a bonus for you: there are no file size limits on premium hosting.
