I have a domain on GoDaddy. I changed the nameservers to point to infinityfree as asked and have a wordpress website built through softaculous. The website works fine for a couple days but then the nameservers revert back to godaddy’s nameservers and the website stops working. I tried doing the steps again and it worked until reverting back a couple days later. Not sure whats going on as DNS propagation looks ok initially (checked through dnschecker) but keeps reverting back on its own.
I contacted GoDaddy. The mentioned this was because there is an Office365 account linked to the godaddy domain and it keeps reverting back in order to make the email accessible. Their recommendation was to manage the email records through infinityfree itself. how do i go about doing this
InfinityFree supports adding MX and SPF records to addon domains. However, the less disruptive way forward would be for you to add your domain name using CNAME verification instead. That way your nameservers can stay set to GoDaddy’s, and you don’t risk disrupting your Office 365 service.
You can configure MX, SPF and CNAME records through our panel instead and setup Office 365 that way. However, this does require Go Daddy to actually let you change your domain’s nameservers, and not forcefully change it back. We have no control over that, only Go Daddy can help you with that part.
