This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or that contact with the database server at sql206.byetcluster.com could not be established. This could mean your host’s database server is down.
Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure the database server is running?
If you are unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress support forums.

I was able to access it until yesterday, but I can’t today. Has something happened that I’m unaware of? Thank you.
The database server has changed. My WordPress site was hosted on sql206.byetcluster.com and now it shows ‘sql206.infinityfree.com’, so my database is no longer listed. That’s why my website isn’t loading. What can I do?
Suddenly lost my connection with MySQL Database site
‘Error establishing a database connection‘
Checking deep in Client Area i’m seeing my MySQL Database is missing, please restore my Database to continue my work and finish the site, to get premium plan.
The site is in Wordpress with Woocommerce.
Why this is happening suddenly? Can this happen again in the future?

Hi, I’m having the same problem today, but when I reload the page everything works, the error persists intermittently; sometimes it connects and sometimes it doesn’t.
Note that there is http 500 Internal Server Error on https://marketdlicia.free.nf/?wc-ajax=get_refreshed_fragments . You are running a heavy e-commerce site, taking 64 requests in 50 seconds to finish, but works when refreshed. This looks like:
That was caused last night by malfunction script, please, can my database be restored to fix this?, actually the site is not in production yet, merely testing and adjusting.
There appear to be similar incidents of error connecting to DB, as reported by multiple users. However, since InfinityFree doesn’t make backups, it is best to make backups of your own and DB files.
If all these incidents are related and there is indeed an outage, it is advised to do your development on your local machine for the moment and upload later to prevent data corruption.
Please wait patiently for Admin for an official word
Yes, appear to be an outage but never hapen before, been working long time with InfinityFree. It make no sense to delete MySQL database from account without warning first, in worst case maybe suspend account temporarely, but now have no acces to database to backup. Also remember that DB in InfinityFree are not considered Inodes, so my guess was always be able to backup.
I have my website which is alyourstruly.infinityfree.me this website supports 600 student for all of my classes in two subjects. I am currently experiencing database issue connection. I am suspecting this is a resource limit issue or server issue in which i am not sure.Sometimes it work sometimes it didnt in my 4 month long of using your service i havent experiencing this issue. Can you please help me?

I’m getting the same thing. Only sporadic connections to the database but I can access everything through PHPmyadmiin. Was working fine until a few hours ago now not. I checked the status on phpmyadmin and saw this line
This MySQL server has been running for 0 days, 2 hours, 59 minutes and 25 seconds. It started up on Jan 13, 2026 at 07:00 AM.
