my homepage shows the default page by infinityfree, not the wordpress page i've installed

hello there:)

I installed wordpress on “http://myonlyaudience.epizy.com/” and it’s not working :frowning:

It still shows the default page where it says

“your homepage is ready and blah blah blah”

I originally installed wordpress on “http://myonlyaudience.epizy.com/wp/”

but I didn’t wanted to have /wp/ at the end,

so I deleted it and reinstalled it on"http://myonlyaudience.epizy.com/".

what should I do?? Please Help!

Your Wordpress is working fine from here. Do you still see the default page?

It’s very easy to do it yourself, just delete the file called index2.html in your htdocs folder.

Y have today installed wp on a acount and for the home page it is redirecting me . Wy?
And for the admin page the same problem. What is the problem?

Hello admin… I want to say a very big Weldone for a good job at infinityfree… I have a little problem…

I have uploaded my own theme and have activated it… But some of the default WordPress writeup is still showing even after i have deleted index2.html… Pls how do i remove that… My website is http://gurusnation.com u can actually check urself… God bless u

The index.php file is missing from your installation. You may want to download a fresh copy of Wordpress and upload it on top of your existing installation to restore any missing files.

Two tips:

  • Make sure you uploaded your website directly to your htdocs directory and not to a subdirectory (Softaculous has the weird default setting of installing to subdirectories).
  • If you get an error and you’d like info about what the error means, please include the error message as well.

Yes, if you delete the default index page, you’ll see nothing. What did you expect to see?

Hello Admin,

I did as you suggested to delete index2.html. Checked on it and then it shows my directories. So I just made an awful index2.html file so my directories are not shown.
My site is http://savortheessence.gq/
I have /wp installed and the only way to see my results are to add /wp at the end of my URL, which I do not wish to have.
I need your help please so when you type in http://savortheessence.gq/ then my wp site will show.

When asking for help, be sure to include either a domain name or account username so we can actually see an issue rather than guess what the issue is.
