My site is being banned because of the content. Not sure what I’m doing wrong but wondered if anyone else has come across the problem.
It’s basically a site to take me down memory lane to the time we had a bricks and mortar gift shop.
One page (which seems to be the one to get banned) is a list of all the products we used to sell. A second page is a list of the suppliers we used. Some of the products link to page with a few pictures and extra details of that product.
And that’s it, just our own memories really.
Welcome to the forum. I’m sorry to hear that its under these negative cercumstances.
from what you’ve described, it doesn’t sound like anything on the site goes against the TOC
What is the suspension message?
If its due to hits limits or similar, then thats likely just a 24 hour ban
If its “abuse” then the most likely that the automatic sweep detected something that it didn’t like. If you raise a ticket in the client area, then IFastNet will review it, and if it’s a false positive, they can unsuspend the account.
If there’s no suspension message in your client area, then it could be due to an issue with DNS propagation, or an error where the site is pointing to the wrong IP.
Whats your URL? that information can help further
Just had a reply to my ticket. Looks like certain words are causing the ban. Been reset so will see how it goes.
Ah right. That’s frustrating. Glad you’ve been reactivated.
Been reactivated but still showing “our website is coming soon”. Five days now!
That’s not what the suspension page says. Does your site look like this?
If so, that means you have an unused site.pro installation on your hosting account.
Yes, that’s what I’m seeing, so could be on the right track.
Unfortunately, I’ve not downloaded wordpress. All I was using the web space for was to upload an html site created in Serif. These files are all showing.
On checking the files I noticed an index.php which would not have come from Serif. I deleted that and renamed the index2.html. Also re uploaded the files from Serif. The domain now shows:
Your domain
is ready!
This page is loaded from the directory “/htdocs” of your InfinityFree hosting account. So you are ready to set up your website!
And more! I’ve now deleted the original index2.html file and re uploaded direct from serif.
Now seeing
403 Forbidden
Server or website configuration is blocking you from viewing this page
It’s sorted. Serif was at fault and for some reason the index.html page had been renamed.
Glad it’s reset
