InfinityFree vs iFastNet

Hi,

I’m not sure that I fully understand the relationship between you and iFastNet, but for me as a user, that just want to open a new site, which of the following options in better?

1. Creating a free site here in InfinityFree, and then upgrade it to one of iFastNet plans.

2. Go Directly to iFastNet.com and create a new site there in the same plan.

What is the different (for me as a user) between this 2 options?

Does one option have any advantage over the other?

Will it cost me the same?

Thank.

InfinityFree offers free hosting and iFastNet offers paid hosting.

You can always upgrade from free hosting to premium hosting later.

Sorry, I had a mistake in the link of my previous post (I fixed it now).

My question is:

Is there is any difference (for me, as a user) between:

1. Creating a free site here in InfinityFree, and then upgrade it to one of iFastNet plans.

2. Go Directly to iFastNet.com and create a new site there in the same plan.

Which option is better, and why?
Will it cost me the same?

Thanks.

Again, InfinityFree is free and iFastNet is paid, so yes, there very much is a cost difference.

As to what option is better, it really depends on what you want to do with your account, there is no one correct answer.

Maybe I’m not explaining this right, I will try again…

1. I can create a Free website here in InfinityFree, and then upgrade it to one of iFastNet plans, am I right?

2. I can go Directly to ifastnet.com, and create a new site there in the same plan that I upgraded to in option 1, is that correct?

So, option 1 and option 2 will cost me money, right?

Then what is the different between the two?

Will it cost me the same? Will option 1 and option 2 give me different options? or different features?

I think that it’s a simple question…

The only real difference is that when you upgrade an InfinityFree account to premium, you can have iFastNet’s support migrate the contents of your InfinityFree account to your new plan at iFastNet. The plans at iFastNet are the exact same regulardless if you have an InfinityFree account or not, with no difference in price or functionality.

If you get a free account first then upgrade, you can have some InfinityFree subdomains migrated over, which aren’t available if you purchased iFastNet directly. Besides that, there’s no difference.

Just a side question:

When I’m in the main forum page, I see that my post title is grey (and also another post with the title: “Getting my Index Page to display”) and all the other posts titles are black.

Why is that? what does it mean?

When the title is gray, it means that you have fully read it. There’s not really any special meanings in it.

If you’re planning to use iFastNet’s hosting, I would just sign up directly with iFastNet instead. Upgrades from InfinityFree are handled by setting up a new account on iFastNet and having iFastNet staff copy your website over. It works, but it’s definitely not seamless.

So if you already know you want to use premium hosting, just go straight to the premium hosting.
