Make sure you used the correct credentials and the database exists
the same problem, at the same time
I was also having the same issue with my blog (which I remind you I don’t touch that much), which I didn’t resolve by changing username and password on my configuration file, but I got it working by changing my hosting account password as well to try and force the system to fix the permissions! If it doesn’t work on your end try it as well:
Though the wait isn’t necessary, it’s still good measure to make sure your WordPress websites will work again. Also, make sure to update all your wp-config.php
files to use the hosting account username and the newly-generated passwords instead of the ones Softaculous generated before everything will work on your end.
I have the same problem managing my databases from PHPMYADMIN. My site is www.gr8brik.rf.gd.
I edited my post just in time for you to see how I solved my issue. Please read above and see if changing your hosting account password and some things on your configuration file works as well.
iFastNet has been doing some maintenance on the database servers. It should be resolved now though.
If it’s not, can you please share a website URL to check?
Do not hijack other’s post.
For me your site works correctly.
Apologies. Its been fixed, pls delete my post.
Hi, I tried these steps but I’m getting the same " Error establishing a database connection" for my website https://www.oftenbaddies.free.nf should I wait longer for it to fix itself?
Thanks
As far as I can tell based on the other reports, something seems to have gone wrong with database passwords or permissions or something like that.
The suggestions to synchronize the password from your account to your database from this article should solve the issue:
And no, this problem will not solve itself, and I’m not going to do it for everyone who asked. You can easily do it yourself, which is a lot faster than having me do it for you.
I changed my db password and things started working again.
