Well, in that case, the EP is predetermined. We had expected it to remain flat each month so that usage could be tracked more easily. Instead, we keep receiving EP overuse alerts every two days, even when we aren’t actively using the InfinityFree IP.
You cannot “determine” EP usage.
Bots can visit your site and generate load.
Besides it’s still unclear whether you only have this one domain on the account. Domains removed from an account cannot generate load, but domains you merely forgot about can.
We believe they can see how many domains we have active. As we mentioned, we are not on the InfinityFree IP, and even after the suspension ends, the EP graph still appears predetermined. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out.”
Can you share a screenshot of your EP failure graph as well as the list of domains on your account?
You can check our website and confirm that it is online. We are not on this IP, as we have reiterated several times. The statistics only appear after the suspension is lifted, although, in most cases, just minutes after receiving the notification that the suspension has ended, it immediately goes back into suspension, even though we are not on that IP. This makes the system appear inconsistent and unreliable.
I remember that if you click on “Control Panel” you’ll be able to view the statistics while suspended
No, you can’t. This just shows alot of you here are just being used.
It depends on the type of suspension. If your account is suspended for resource overuse, the graphs will be displayed on the home page of the control panel.
The EP graph is not “predetermined”. It’s updated once per day with the usage number of the day before.
I will admit that the graphs are quite difficult to read. The number at the bottom is the day of the month, and the graph shows the last month of usage. So if it displays usage on the 5th of the month, then that’s the usage of the 5th of September.
Yes, that’s a very confusing way to make graphs. But that’s how it works. The underlying data and how it’s collected is solid.
That is all I am pointing out. At the beginning of the month, or whenever the cycle starts, the usage graph should reset to a flat line so that daily consumption can be tracked accurately. Instead, because the system appears preprogrammed, it suspends once it reaches the threshold where it flags an overuse beyond the red line. This applies both to the cPanel and the InfinityFree dashboard.
That is why even when we are not using the InfinityFree IP, the account still goes into suspension - it seems predetermined to do so regardless of actual resource usage. For example, today is only the 3rd, yet the graph is already projecting usage for the entire month as though limits have been hit. I can assure you - and I intend to post evidence - that by the 5th or 6th we will receive suspension emails, simply because the graph already shows those suspensions in advance.
That’s where Admin says the graphs are hard to read.
Since today is only 3rd, this means that 1-3 is for this month but 4-30 is for the last month.
No, please stop writing. I’m not sure if you work with InfinityFree, but much of what you’ve written does not seem accurate.
I already explained that we don’t use the InfinityFree IP, yet we still receive suspensions. You asked for the number of sites we have, and I provided a screenshot, but your replies continue as though that information wasn’t considered. Please review what I’ve sent before responding.
I’m not a staff.
I just told you how is Admin’s explanation relevant to your graph.
A post was split to a new topic: Timeout error
Based on the data I have on my end, it appears that your website was still getting traffic. It seems to be quiet now though, so it shouldn’t get any more suspensions.
Yep, exactly as predicted. I said this system is rigged. I said that by the 5th or 6th, we’d get this email, and right on the 5th, here it is. Stop deceiving people.
Exactly on the 5th. SMH!
The statement above is false. We are not using your IP, and therefore, we cannot be generating traffic through it.
I can confirm free hosting has this bug. Even a de-activated account can trigger warning/suspension (tested with other MOFH account(s) )
@CHIL-Institute, can you de-activate just this affected hosting account to prove my point?
Considering that your website does not appear to be getting any traffic, it does seem more likely that this is in fact a bug on our end.
To be very clear: we’re not in the business of lying, tricking and cheating. We do try to run a legitimately good service here, and be fair and honest in our dealings.
But like any system, our resource calculation can have bugs, and we’ve had bugs where numbers were collected incorrectly, or not reset properly. This is always a possibility.
But please do consider that for every 1000 people that say “my account was suspended for no reason, your system is broken”, for 999 of them on inspection it does turn out that there was activity on their website and the suspension is probably correct. So please forgive us for starting off on the assumption that this was likely the case here too.
But the domain does not appear to be pointing to our servers but still the suspension happens, which should not be possible, so that’s pretty clear evidence of a bug.
