GoGetSSL deprecation in early March

This week, we received a message from GoGetSSL, informing us that they will no longer be offering their 90 day trial certificates for free. Instead, they will now require payment. GoGetSSL states that this was necessary due to a change at Sectigo, the provider ultimately responsible for GoGetSSL’s certificates.

In response, InfinityFree will no longer be offering SSL certificates from GoGetSSL through our Free SSL Certificates tool. Starting 8th of March 2025, it will no longer be possible to create new GoGetSSL orders.

Your existing GoGetSSL certificates will keep working until their expiration date. When these certificates are due, you can instead request a new certificate from Google Trust, Let’s Encrypt or ZeroSSL instead.

unless you have a perticular desire to use GoGetSSL it probably wont make any noticeable difference.

GoGetSSL Free Certificates are now deprecated. While I may have never used GoGetSSL certificates, I know it’s annoying to switch providers. When you switch providers, browsers like to complain sometimes.

If you are wanting to issue another certificate, I would suggest using Google Trust. Many browsers support this certificate, and when browsers detect that you are switching providers, the process is easier. Users won’t even notice!

As the @Admin has stated, your currently issued certificates from GoGetSSL will still remain in effect. The only thing affected is the creation of new GoGetSSL certificates.

If you still want GoGetSSL certificates, and you refuse to switch providers, you will have to buy them from GoGetSSL’s website. From the making of this post, the lowest is about $15 USD.
