What issues may you see
If you try to access a subdomain under the freesite.online domain, you will see some kind of DNS lookup error or domain not found error. SSL issuance and renewal on these subdomains are also affected
When will this issue be resolved
We are trying to get in touch with the registry to get this issue resolved. However, we are ultimately dependent on the registry to restore the domain name.
If it’s urgent, you should probably consider moving your site to a different free subdomain. That way you can be sure it’ll be available when you turn in your assignment. You’ll want to follow these instructions:
My freesite.online domain is currently not accessible and I am unable to work on my project! When will this be resolved?? It appears that the freesite.online is somehow suspended again??
Even though this service is free, it should at least be reliable and not have websites going down like this.
I created a new subdomain and wanted to point it to the same folder, but I also see no way of configuring the folder it points to.
I’m suffering this same thing. I was working on a site and suddenly it couldn’t be reached, This is the 2nd time it is happening within 7 days. I’m a new user and this really frustrating. Why is this happening regularly?
Strangely, this case it doesn’t appear to be taken down by the registry (Radix) but by our registrar (Namecheap). I have contacted Namecheap about this yesterday, but while they confirmed the issue should be resolved, it doesn’t appear to be.
I have just contacted them again to try and get this resolved. I’m sorry for the inconvenience caused.
The freesite.online domain was taken down again last night following more abuse reports.
The reactivation process has already been completed at the registry, and the domain name should be back online shortly.
However, new registrations of subdomains of freesite.online have been disabled again, and will remain disabled until we have some assurance that this will not happen again. The .online registry appears to be suspending domains whenever any abuse report comes in, which is not sustainable for domains with thousands of websites on them from different people.
The freesite.online domain has been reactivated. Assuming it is not suspended again, your websites will begin working within 72 hours (but probably sooner).
