Domain removal request

Other Information

After checking from my side, I have confirmed that this domain name is currently linked to my InfinityFree hosting account. However, it appears that the domain is still associated with your server, which is preventing me from using or re-adding it properly.

I kindly request you to please remove this domain name from your server records so that I can use it again without any issues. I assure you that I will configure the domain correctly from my hosting account once it is released.

Thank you very much for your time and support. I look forward to your help in resolving this matter.

Welcome to the forum

if its connected to your account, you can remove it yourself. Go to the “Domain settings” section in the dashboard, and then look for this:

Once you’ve deleted the domain, I’d allow an hour or 2 just to make sure ever things propagated properly, then you can re-add it.

Sorry If I’ve misunderstood something

Both domain names are linked to active hosting accounts. But both are linked to different email addresses, which is different from the email address you’re using for this one.

Do you remember adding these domains to accounts yourself in the last few months? If so, please try to remember which email address you used for the account, and see if you can regain access to the account yourself.

Hello InfinityFree Support Team,

I am experiencing an issue with my domain surajkhatri.com.np.
After checking from my side, I have confirmed that this domain name is currently linked to my InfinityFree hosting account.

However, it appears that the domain is still associated with your server, which is preventing me from properly managing or using it.

I kindly request you to please remove this domain from your server so that it can be fully released and used correctly.

Thank you for your support.

Best regards,
Suraj Khatri

BTW there doesn’t exist a thing called “InfinityFree Support Team”. This is a community forum, not a support ticket system.

I’m sorry, but I’m having trouble understanding what the issue is.

You say the domain is linked to your account, which means everything should be set up to “properly manage and use it”. You can manage it from the account that has the domain.

The domain is indeed associated with our server… through its assignment to a hosting account. That’s how hosting works, domains need to be associated with hosting servers to be able to manage and use them on that hosting.

If you do want to remove the domain from our servers, you can do that yourself by removing it from your hosting account. But I’m not sure why you’d want to remove it just to add it back again, which is why I’m asking what problem you’re actually experiencing.

Could you describe what you’re actually trying to do, and what happens when you try? For example, are you seeing an error message somewhere? If so, what does it say exactly?

That would help me understand what’s going wrong and how to help you fix it.

Hello Support Team,

I am writing to request urgent assistance regarding my domain surajkhatri.com.np.

This domain is currently linked to another InfinityFree hosting account, which I do not have access to. Due to this issue, I am facing serious problems and I am unable to use my own domain on my active InfinityFree account.

Please note the following:

  • surajkhatri.com.np is my personal domain

  • I am the rightful owner of this domain

  • I have full control over the domain (DNS / registrar access)

  • I can provide ownership proof immediately if required

I kindly request you to unlink/remove surajkhatri.com.np from the previous hosting account so that I can properly link it to my own InfinityFree account.

This issue has been causing ongoing problems for me, so I would really appreciate your prompt support.

Thank you for your time and understanding.
Please let me know what proof or information you need from my side.

Best regards,
Suraj Khatri

Hello Admin,

Thank you for your reply. I apologize for the confusion earlier. I would like to clearly explain my situation below.

About 3 months ago, I was using my domain surajkhatri.com.np with InfinityFree, and it was working perfectly fine. After around 3 months, my website stopped working.

After that, I decided to move my website to DEP Host (a Nepali hosting provider) so that I could get local support and also plan to build an online store.

However, when I try to add surajkhatri.com.np as a custom domain on DEP Host, their system shows an error saying that the domain is already linked to InfinityFree servers. Their customer support also informed me that the domain is still linked to InfinityFree.

Previously, I had created my InfinityFree account using the email [email protected], but I no longer have access to that InfinityFree account, and I am unable to log in or manage the domain from there.

Because of this:

  • I cannot remove the domain from the old InfinityFree hosting account

  • I cannot link the domain to DEP Host

  • My website is currently not working anywhere

I am not trying to remove the domain just to add it back to InfinityFree. My goal is to completely move the domain away from InfinityFree and use it on another hosting provider.

I still have old emails and notifications related to this domain, which I can use as proof of ownership if required.

Please let me know what I can do to resolve this issue, or what proof you need from my side so the domain can be unlinked from the old InfinityFree hosting account.

Thank you very much for your time and understanding.

Best regards,
Suraj Khatri

Hello Admin,

I am the rightful owner of the domain surajkhatri.com.np.

It is currently linked to an InfinityFree hosting account that I no longer have access to. I cannot remove it from that account, and this is preventing me from linking it to my new hosting.

I can provide proof of ownership if required. Please guide me on how to unlink this domain from the old InfinityFree account.

Thank you,
Suraj Khatri

This means that the other hosting provider is also using, at least for some portions of their service, the MyOwnFreeHost reseller program, which is the same thing InfinityFree uses.

InfinityFree doesn’t just magically held your domain hostage for no reason. The backend hosting platform is blocking it.

But spamming the forum will NOT get your issue resolved.

Now since you have made it clear you need to wait for Admin to come back online and check your message.
There is NO live, 24/7 support.

If you’re having trouble hosting your domain name with another hosting provider, then I suggest asking them to help you. They should be able to help you host your domain with them, and resolve whatever is blocking them.

If you have any further questions, please respond to this topic with a concise message. There is really no need to create many topics about the same issue, all with slightly different language. I’ve responded to you here so you know I see your messages, but I’m not here 24/7. So just creating more topics with the same message will not get a reply any sooner.

A post was split to a new topic: Chmod not supported

I previously used the domain surajkhatri.com.np on InfinityFree hosting. As far as I remember, I created the hosting account using the email address [email protected]. I also have proof in the form of a hosting account creation screenshot that shows this same email address was used. At present, when I log in to InfinityFree using [email protected], the domain surajkhatri.com.np is not visible in my account or on any hosting account. Because of this, I am unable to remove the domain myself from the control panel. To the best of my knowledge, I only used this email address to create my InfinityFree hosting account. I do not recall using any other email address. However, if the domain surajkhatri.com.np is currently linked to another InfinityFree account created using a different email address, I kindly request you to please remove the domain from that account so it can be released. Please let me know if you need any additional verification or proof from my side. I will be happy to provide it.

Thank you very much for your support and assistance. banaideu

The domain name itself is linked to a different email address. It looks very similar to your main email address (it’s just one character difference) but it’s not the same. Did you register any variations of this email address which you may have used?

I want to explain my situation one last time as clearly as possible, because I am completely stuck right now, and I don’t have any other way to fix this from my side.

The domains surajkhatri.com.np and dhanishworgautam.com.np both belong to me. I used them on InfinityFree in the past, but they are still attached to an old InfinityFree account that I no longer have access to. Because of that, I cannot use these domains on a new account.

The main issue is that I honestly do not remember the email address used for that old InfinityFree account. At that time, I don’t remember which Google account was used, and even if the email differed by just one character, I genuinely cannot recall it now. Creating similar email addresses does not help, because I simply don’t know which one was actually used. For this reason, recovering that account from my side is not possible.

Even though I cannot access the old account, I have already provided proof that these domains belong to me. The WHOIS data clearly shows me as the owner, and this can be verified directly from the official .np registry at https://register.com.np/whois-lookup. I have also shared a screenshot of an SSL certificate issue email, which shows that these domains were previously used on the same InfinityFree account ([email protected]). This confirms that I was the legitimate user of these domains on InfinityFree.

Right now, I fully control the domains at the registrar level, but they are still blocked because they remain linked to that forgotten InfinityFree account. I am being asked to remember an email address that I truly do not remember, and because of this, my own domains are stuck and unusable.

I respectfully request that these two domains be manually removed or released from the old InfinityFree account they are attached to. Once they are released, I will be able to add and use them normally from my side without any issue.

If there is any doubt about ownership, please check the WHOIS records directly from the official registry. I have already shared screenshots, and the ownership can also be verified independently.

This is not an abuse or misuse case. It is simply a genuine situation where the domain owner is known, ownership proof has been provided, but access to the old hosting account is permanently lost. I kindly request your help in resolving this.

Thank you for your time and understanding.

The situation you are presenting is very clear: you own the domains, they are assigned to an account you don’t have access to right now, and you want me to release them so you can use it elsewhere.

However, what you don’t seem to understand is that me removing domains from other accounts is a measure of last resort. If there is any chance that you may be able to regain access to the account yourself, then that’s what I will focus on instead.

And in this particular case, I do think that you have access to the account. The email address is very slightly different from the one you’re using, and I’m pretty sure that you own that email address too. And I will not remove domains from accounts that I think you have access to but simply are having trouble with recalling.

I want to help you with this, but my help might not be the exact action you’re asking for. We can figure this out, but I need you to work with me and actually respond to my questions, not just repeat the same request.
