The record appears in my registrar’s DNS dashboard. However, direct DNS queries against Cloudflare DNS and all four authoritative nameservers returned “DNS name does not exist” for the verification hostname.
My current nameservers are the four cont603385 Orderbox nameservers shown in my registrar dashboard.
Google Admin Toolbox previously displayed ns1.byet.org for the record, so the DNS results appear inconsistent.
I also use Titan Email on this domain. Could you please investigate why the CNAME record is not being detected and advise how to verify the domain without disrupting my email service?
Welcome to the InfinityFree community forum! Good to have you here.
Most people answering here are volunteers. They’re often the fastest source of help. Admin (the only staff member) checks in about once a day for issues on our end.
Volunteers can’t see your account or website. Share what you actually see, like error messages and what happens when you try something. That’s more useful than your theory of what’s wrong.
AI tools often get InfinityFree wrong. If a volunteer’s advice differs from what an AI told you, please try the volunteer’s suggestion first.
Solving an issue is a joint effort. Try the suggestions you get and report back what happened.
Beep boop, I’m a bot! I dug through the forum to get you started. I sometimes get things wrong though, so do with this what you will until a human has a look.
If all four authoritative nameservers say the name doesn’t exist, the problem is on the DNS side, not ours. Our check can only see a record that your domain’s own nameservers publish. The CNAME guide says the record has to be added with your current DNS provider, meaning the company whose nameservers are actually in use on the domain.
Can you check that the dashboard where you added the record manages the DNS zone for those four cont603385 nameservers? Then run the full hostname through the dig tool and tell me what it shows. Put the hostname exactly as it appears in the error, with .rezaurrahaman.tech on the end. Some DNS panels add the domain name automatically, so a host that already includes it can end up as ...rezaurrahaman.tech.rezaurrahaman.tech.
Here is the guide, which also has the dig tool link:
On email, CNAME verification is meant for exactly your situation. You don’t have to change your nameservers, so nothing about your Titan setup changes. The verification record is only used for verification. A separate guide says you don’t need to touch MX or TXT records when pointing a domain at InfinityFree from other nameservers. That’s also where to look for the A and www records you’ll need once the domain is added:
If the record does show up at the authoritative nameservers and our page still says “(not found)”, that’s something a person on our staff would need to look at.
If you configured a DNS record, every resolver says it exists, but our check doesn’t, then it’s probably a problem with our check. If you configured a DNS record, and every resolver says it doesn’t exist, and ours does too, then the DNS record has actually not been published.
And if that’s the case, then that’s a problem you need to take up with the operators of your current nameservers.
I need help with a DNS record for my domain rezaurrahaman.tech.
I added this CNAME record in my DNS dashboard:
Host: 714fe91aa709ed64b14b53e7eb8574d9
Target: ns1.byet.org
TTL: Auto
The record appears in my dashboard, but direct DNS queries against all four authoritative nameservers return “DNS name does not exist” for the verification hostname.
