Domain 000.pe Suspended by Registry

The suspension for inactivity is an automatic process. You can log in to your account and reactivate it.

The deal is very simple.

We have a system that checks if your account is getting any traffic. If it doesn’t get any traffic, it is at risk of being suspended for inactivity.

If the domain name you’re using is not pointing to our servers (which is the case when the entire domain is suspended), your account will not be able to receive any traffic.

The sum of these two parts is that if your domain is not pointing to our servers, the account will likely get suspended for inactivity.

I know that this is unfortunate. But please understand that this is not us deliberately twisting the knife. These are two different systems acting independently from each other, causing some unintended side effects, and we have not implemented specific measures to avoid these side effects.

This is a terrible situation…

when will it be back up?

Just like the last dozen or so times it was asked: we don’t know, it is out of our hands.

oh ok, good thing i don’t have any subdomains on that domain

A post was split to a new topic: Is-great.org is down

Looks like your details are exposed to the wind. Odd. At least your real name isn’t shown.

000.pe has been suspended for a very long time. Is it time to unpin this topic and call it a loss?

I’m still working to get the domain back. Removing the privacy protection was a requirement from the registry to do that, but I’m still waiting for them right now.

I still have hopes that the domain can be recovered, but new registrations will not be allowed no matter what due to it violating the .pe registry terms.

I’m going to unpin this message for now. The domain name has been down for a long time and there is no timeline in sight for reactivation.

I’m still trying to get back the domain name, and will update this topic as soon as I know more.

After a lot of going back and forth with the registry, I’m happy to say the issue was resolved. The domain 000.pe is now back online!

Any subdomains that are still setup on the domain should now be back online (or will be soon, due to DNS caching).

New registrations of free subdomains on 000.pe will remain disabled for now due to policy concerns, but existing websites will now work again!

why exactly was it brought down by the registry?

There were some ToS violators on 000.pe subdomain, which caused the registry to shut it down to stop more violations.

At least, that’s what I recall from this situation.
