I bought a dns site on cloudflare on a basic plan. When I try to configure the Parked Domain at Cloudflare, as specified in the " Parked Domain Management (Aliases)" section, I realized that cloudflare does not allow to change the NameServers.
I cannot find a way to get this running. Is there a workaround? Or my money with cloudflare is lost, if I want to keep the free hosting?
thanks in advance
Hi, welcome to the community! Thankfully, you actually don’t have to change your domain’s nameservers to use it with InfinityFree. You can verify it with the CNAME method instead.
Once InfinityFree has verified your domain, you can point it to your account with an A record.
Thank’s! @EdwardHamHam ! With your instructions I was able to link cloudflare and infinityfree! =)
But now in my domains section, I have an empty folder with my new domain. When I try to access to my bought domain from the browser, it leads me to this page.
Seems that i am on the right path, but i’m missing the part when I move my root folder to the new folder, or point the wp server to the new url.
I appreciate any help!
If you added the domain as an addon domain, you probably still need to do that, yes:
Thanks to all!! I could put up&running my site using cloudflare with your help.
I backuped my wp installation, and made a clean install in the new domain (there was an option available in wp installation path)
then i followed the instructions on configuring ssl on infinity, and made Full security in cloudlfare. And everything smooth! =)
