Changes to SSL for free subdomains

I had ssl certificate of sub subdomain , my website is hosted on that , now what should I do

You should move that sub-subdomain site to a completely different subdomain or your main subdomain. Otherwise HTTPS will stop working. Please read the full announcement

Yes, to clarify:

Any accounts that were created before this fix will still have their initial subdomain added to the Addon Domains list, which means you can create subdomains on it. However, these subdomains will not have SSL.

Accounts that were created after the fix have their subdomains added to the Subdomains list, meaning it is no longer possible to create subdomains of them.

Thank you for this announcement. Indeed, I saw in my dashboard that this is indicated in "Free subdomains no longer support custom SSL certificates, and are automatically protected by a system wide certificate. And that in Step 5: Verify installation, this is indicated Status: Active, Issuer: ZeroSSL, Expires at: 2025-08-07. And yet in the rightside on "Certificate Details Domain Certificate Provider: Google Trust, it has an Expiration date 2025-06-20 UTC. How shall I address this? How will I resolve that one when there is notice that I have 19 days left expiring everytime I create new order
“Free subdomains no longer support custom SSL certificates, and are automatically protected by a system wide certificate.”

You don’t have to do anything about the expiring SSL certificate because they get overridden by InfinityFree.

Thank you for the answer. Does that include the domain certificate details. Even if it indicates expiring in June 2025-06-20 UTC.

The expiration date applies to the old certificate, which has been replaced by the new default wildcard certificate. So even if the old certificate expires, your website will continue to have a valid SSL.

Please clarify.

I just received (5/31) the familiar email stating that my free SSL certificate for anothercloudyday.com from Let’s Encrypt will expire on 2025-07-01.

What am I missing? Weren’t we just notified that this manual certificate renewal would no longer be necessary?

Thank you.

The wild card SSL only applies to free subdomains. Custom domains still need you to manually apply an SSL certificate yourself, or use Cloudflare.

OK, thank you for clarifying.

Hi. I’m a real rookie with this. My site now comes with a pop up saying the site is unsecure. I am able to proceed however it may discourage users.
Could you please let me know how to correct this.

I’m assuming I have a www. subdomain. How do I switch to the non-www version?

Thank you

You always have both. So you can simply remove the www. prefix from your URL and our servers will load the same site.

So instead of http://www.burgo78steps.wuaze.com/, you can just visit https://burgo78steps.wuaze.com/, and you’ll have a secure site.

I have doubts, my website that believes 2 days ago does not have SSL and the https does not work because of that hazlolatam.ct.ws

Can you check if my website still have a ssl www.imocandidaturas.ct.ws

No, www.imocandidaturas.ct.ws doesn’t have SSL, but imocandidaturas.ct.ws does. You can easily verify it yourself.

And please read the announcement, it saves you from having to ask questions that are very clearly answered there (and have been asked many, many, many more times since then, each time with the same answer).
