And in addition to that list of changes, I even forgot one!
All domains that do not have their own SSL certificate are now covered with a self signed certificate. This makes it easier to migrate away from domains that may no longer be covered with SSL, but also means you don’t need to install your own self signed certificate to use Cloudflare with Full SSL!
I have a custom domain and the certificate revert back to date 2019 a few days ago and now it it not found. I tried manually installing it from the panel but still no change.
experiencing the exact same thing on my custom domain which is my personal web portfolio. it appears the ssl updates implemented for sub domains impacted custom domains where live ssl status either reads not found or reverts back to an old expired certificate.
Same issue here they say free subdomain come with the ssl certificate automatically but i created one for my site on the 9th of may it doesn’t have one and i can’t add it since they new changes apply
You don’t need to (and can’t actually) create an SSL certificate for your domain name anymore. All free subdomains have SSL, no matter what you do, and you cannot change anything about it.
If you want to use HTTPS on your website, note that you will still need to force traffic to HTTPS for everyone. SSL is enabled for all subdomains, but not enforced for all subdomains.
Besides that: no domain = no help. I can’t check if SSL is setup correctly for your website if I don’t know what website to check.
I was recommended a couple weeks ago to add a certificate to my site because I didnt have one, do I need to do anything on my end or is it automatically changed over to the new system?
