In this case, how can I ensure that both of them have a secure SSL, because I have already checked and realized that my site is not accessible to some browsers, which makes things very difficult for me. I apologize if this question has already been answered by other users, but I searched and found no answer that could help.
and also, is it possible to use an external SSL?
You can’t. That functionality was removed. There is no workaround.
The only thing you can do is to always specify your website as https://imocandidaturas.ct.ws, and not use https://www.imocandidaturas.ct.ws, because that URL no longer works.
Nice, this good, thanks a lot
I believe this is a great and positive change - well done and thank you.
Just one request… can you stop the reminder emails? I’ve been still receiving them, getting worried, trying to renew the SSL certificate but get the message about the change and that lead me here.
Custom domains still need this feature - so probably not.
You can disable those updates from each certificates page in the dashboard.
The thought has crossed my mind too to just disable the reminders for all SSL certificates for all free subdomains.
However, I decided not to do that, mainly because the new situation doesn’t fully cover what the old situation did (mainly regarding subdomains of subdomains). If you were using those, then you must take action. If not, then you do not need to do anything.
The renewal reminder is not perfect for that, but it makes people pay attention to their certificates, so their websites will not break silently.
A different reminder message would be better. But in six weeks from now, all SSL certificates for free subdomains will have expired, by which time the problem will be gone too. So I don’t think it’s appropriate to put a lot of effort into custom messaging.
That’s completely understandable. Thank you for the clarity.
It seems that the article “These were never officially supported and were only possible due to a bug in our system.” It becomes a kind of “correct” (special meaning) that exists on the site. (pictured)
Yes, accounts that were created before the bug was fixed can still create subdomains of subdomains, including your account. However, they will not support HTTPS.
