Error message: Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity
Could not connect to server

I have been trying to upload to my site using my usual tool Incomedia Website X5 and filezilla, both are reporting similar error messages, I have been using the same tools and parameters to upload to my site for several years without a hitch. This problem was first noticed last night, the previous successful upload was 9th Jan. Is there a problem or has something changed? Many thanks for your help.

Can you please provide full logs from FileZilla?

Hi, I set the debug to info as requested but not seeing a box with any debug info? see below:

Probably your ISP is rewriting the FTP server IP for that hostname, as that doesn’t seem to be the right IP…

Can you try to use ftp.epizy.com or 185.27.134.11 as host instead? If it works with one of those, you might need to use a VPN to connect to the hostname you were using before.

Now make sure the entered password doesn’t have any space, so you might need to remove a character from the start or the end of it to even it out and probably be able to connect.

If it still doesn’t work, have you made sure to read this as well?

Hi Thank you very much for your help. The upload has now completed successfully using Website X5 and the host set to ftp.epizy.com. I will digest the ftp information you provided, many thanks once again. Peter
