You can’t use A records, but you can use CNAME

Not exactly. Technically, you can add subdomains here if they appear on the public suffix list. “eu.org” is one example.

But you are right in this case, you probably won’t be able to add that domain name here because you don’t own the base domain.

We also don’t support adding subdomains with nameservers.

You can host your website on a free subdomain from us, or by bringing your own domain name. You cannot bring free subdomains from other providers here.
