Looped iFasnet Ads

Other Information

I received an email from infinityfree saying that i have reached the daily usage of hits, i don’t want to complain but how can a blog site with barely 3 articles on it reach a daily hit limit, i did not share the website any where, and for now it has 3 articles on it

Been a lot of these recetly.

i’ve had it on one of mine too. I’m beginning to think that someone is scraping the forums for shared links, and ddosing them

Yes it migh be that, so how did you solve that with them ?

I’m 2 hours into my 24 hour suspension. Just got to wait it out

Yes ofc
is there a solution to not be DDosed on infinity, the cpanel does not offer any security options ?

There’s no option to be not DDoSed ANYWHERE on this world.

Because DDoS attacks are NOT something you can control. Even if there’re security options, DDoS attacks can still happen. Saying “no” also costs something.

hahaha, okay bro yes there is no solution, Ifastnet ads saying go premium now you?
OFC there are solutions none of them are implemented (on the free plan at least)

Premium hosting doesn’t make you immune to DDoS attacks. It can endure bigger attacks before having problems (because there’s more server power and network capacity) but if you move your site to iFastNet and it still gets a DDoS attack that’s large enough to cause problems, they’ll still suspend you.

The free hosting servers do have DDoS protection. But that doesn’t make them immune to a large and/or direct attack.

While you can’t make DDoS attacks impossible, you can add protection if you have a custom domian by using Cloudflare.

But again, this does not make you immune- nothing does. But it does add another layer of protection when used properly, so it’s still worth setting up.

I appreciate all the replies,
we are not sure if its a Ddos attack or something else, as i have said the site is basically a blog with barely 3 article on it

You should upgrade to a paid plan.

Not necessarily. You can still get suspended on a paid plan if your site is attacked with large amounts of traffic. iFastNet does not want websites that get attacked on their paid servers any more then they want them on their free servers.

Getting suspended for having a large paid site. Don’t think so. The only one that i’m recommending (if i can post the links) is Flokinet or Contabo.

Not for having a large site, but for being the target of a DDoS attack. Keep in mind iFastNet and InfinityFree are both shared hosting services; a single server hosts hundreds if not thousands of other websites and customers. So one site being hit by a large enough attack will affect all of the other customers on that server, and can even slow down the rest by clogging up the data center’s network. So hosting companies are typically not eager to host things that have been known to be the target of a DDoS attack, even if you pay them. Example:

Edit:

No, no you can’t. Advertising other companies is not allowed, and I doubt they would be willing to host sites who are the target of attacks either.

If it is shared hosting, they don’t want websites that are attacked often, I would imagine VPS and dedicated providers are the same way because they don’t want the overload in their datacenter

So if i get right, let say you get a domain name a web hosting you work on a website you build it up, then some random guy decide to attack it, better throw your website cuz the hosting companies don’t want attack on their servers ?

No, you would just put better protections on your domain, like using a company such as Cloudflare or Project Shield

Most of the time they will not take action against your server, but your server will get overloaded resulting in your website being down for everyone.

Web hosting is a bit different because the resources are shared, but VPS this is much less the case. And with dedicated, it’s dedicated, so there is no problem.

More like “DDoS attacks are nasty and cause a lot of damage in their wake”. Either you need to accept the downtime, or ensure you have sufficient capacity to handle the attack.

Yes its like you can’t do much for the downtime, i had 24 hours and now another 24 hours has been added to my account so the ddos is still going on.

Edit : Or not it seems like the site has been reactivated and i am up and running
