have an HP Prime instead. The TI calculators is way too overpriced for what they have, and I donāt like TI actively limiting their calculatorsā performanceā¦
Customer brings in a pc with an power issue, I plugged in the computer and there was a big bang and tripped the fuses for the whole workshop
This thing uses a mini corsair sf600 psu (its tiny for a 600W psu), I can get a replacement but they are expensive
Customer asks if I can use a cheaper full size atx psu and at first I say its impossible as there is no way that it will fit in this case but the customer insists and as usual I say yeah Iāll see what I can do as I like a challenge
The corsair is only 125 mm x 63.5 mm x 100 mm
The atx psu is 150 mm x 85 mm x 140 mm
So much metal mangling, rivet removing and bodging later I manage to squeeze it in with just enough air flow around things, none of the screw holes align with this psu so cable ties had to be used !
Its in so tight that its not going anywhere and there is a short power extension from the psu to the other side of the case where the power cable is plugged so there is no issue of any movement from plugging in the power cable
My job is mostly repairing laptop motherboards but sometimes some unusual things come it for repair and I do honestly enjoy these challenges when they do as its nice to be creative and its also nice to have a customer that trusts you when you are attempting something crazy
Most the time, I can repair my own PC. But the last time it died, I couldnt work out for the life of me what was wrong.
Ended up being the motherboard had died. My local repair guy (great business name, Whoops IT) was even confused how the motherboard had died lol. took him like 2 days to work it out too. Even then he only worked it out because basically everything else was working fine lol.
That is really weird. I checked a bunch of users that are active here, every single in of them has the issue. Most people have 3-4 solutions marked on the summary page (Some users have been credited with solutions, but the stat does not appear on the page, and my stat page has the hight number I found, 35, the admin, who has more credited solutions then I do, has a lower number on his stats page)
But if you go to one directly, it still says it was a solution.
Edit: also, the profile page is affected regardless of if Iām logged in when I look at it or not.
So I decided to make a PHP-based search engine, with Search Console and Admin Console, because I was bored. Due to the forum rules, I canāt advertise the site. However, I would like to say that making a PHP-based search engine was easier than I thought it was.
Apparently, the Security System that all InfinityFree hosted domains use is considered Malicious to Padlet, because when I share my site on my Padlet it immediately gets removed for āMalicious content, potentially Phishingā. This was when I shared my main Jri Page (in my Bio) and my JriMail.
I agree! I donāt get it either, Iām see the same thing.
Amazing name. I wonder if there is also a Dang It! IT out in the world.
Is (for right now) based on when the domain is added. I plan on adding that later.
Is me. (Well, my search engine service doesnāt rely on whats on the site. It utilises keywords supplied by the user. I ācrawlā the site to make sure nothing malicious is on them).
JFTP: I did break the rules there, but those JFTP sites were meant to help! (And I still broke the rules anyway )
JriMail: While I have posted links and talked about it, I donāt think I directly advertised it on here (if you can prove me wrong, I would go nuts.)
But are you?
Tap my profile bubble, click the link, then look on the page. It will stand out, one of the words is Free.
Themeās so good, old sites are changing their themes.
Hold onā¦
If you consider saying the name of the thing advertising, why are you advertising your theme?
Iām just kidding, you werenāt really trying to advertise.
One of these days, Iāll set up a WordPress site and work on developing a universal JriMail login plugin. I donāt think itās going to be soon though.
