You know it’s pretty funny when Microsoft used Copilot+PC everywhere except in China, which says “AI+PC” as there’s no Copilot in China. (Oh, and that key does nothing except opening the search box.)

I remember that :x does the same as :wq but is smarter, it doesn’t write to file when you didn’t do any changes so it doesn’t break something that is sensitive to edit times.
Had no idea that many here didn’t know how to use vim

You’re not the only one who does follow-ups the same way as me, though I just limit it to two posts more, so it shouldn’t be any more bulk; for the rest I also use quotes so that there should be trace on which post I’m replying to if there are more.
I only remember those two on Vim and vi which is quite similar, but never remembered :x…

I avoid the command line if I can, my horrible spelling makes me worried I will delete everything or mis-configure something by accident. It’s also way more time consuming for me (The day I was working in it I consistently spelled sudo and sodu and had to re-type the command over and over).

I don’t know what to tell you - it may temporarily look like a problem, but in the long run it may be better without AI, because people in the future will not know how to come up with even more banal solutions or answers on their own, but will constantly rely on AI… and then the owners of AI will start charging for it like electricity and water. if you don’t pay you instantly become (or remain) stupid.
