How did you celebrate your computer’s first birthday?
Did you buy him something?

I remembered that at this time last year we made new configurations

@Meishin you have become a regular again…soon the badge will be changed :+1:

Nothing yet; I think I’ll have to blow its dust up one day as well…

I expect it be gone after the 14-day grace period ends because I don’t visit as often as before these days (at least not being logged in because I cannot login with an Apple Watch).

I’m still glad that I picked up the habit to  replies

I don’t really celebrate birthday’s not even my own but I always thank my computer and other devices for the work they perform

People look at me strangely when they see me do this but I tell them that it’s good to spread positive energy  and then they look at me weirder

I also tend to not know when people celebrate their birthdays until I have a blast in my head that makes me remember them, but still wish them a happy birthday in time…

I don’t even know what’s up with my mind as well today, as it tends to consider only one case and ignore all the others at worst… It used to work efficiently up until today; now I’m relaxing, so it should do its very best as of now…

It could be that you’re exhausted

We who fix things are probably more connected and appreciate if something works as it should instead of bothering us

I also don’t celebrate birthdays (it comes gradually with age) because you have nothing to be happy about because every time you just get older and older.
Maybe I would celebrate if there were people around me who are lively and cheerful, but I haven’t experienced that for a long time… they don’t have that energy anymore… The best were the parties when I was under 20

Maybe he’s in love :eyes:
or he picked the wrong mushrooms for Sunday lunch

I still have some ups and downs to the relationship I’m having though, as my girlfriend sometimes won’t listen to me, but the relationship is still going strong…

In reality, though, my brain still works fine and I’m not exhausted; it just happens that I have speech impediments because of my brain disconnecting for a bit or misspell something (the latter didn’t happen on the forum yet and if it does I always correct it).

On Friday, in my Photoshop class, we played a review game in which we were split into groups of 4. The teacher asked a question to one group, and if the first person got it right, the group would get 5 points. If not, she’d ask the next person in the group for 3 points, all the way down to 0. Well, my class is full of people who don’t want to learn about Photoshop so most people would get the questions wrong and screw their whole team up. I was one of them.

This is ridiculous. Why do I have to bear the consequences of my teammates stupidity? Every time the teacher asked me a question I got it right.

Yes, I know an 85% is not a bad grade, but I could’ve gotten a 100% if I was alone.

Group dynamics can be tricky, especially when everyone’s not equally invested. Maybe you can have a chat with your teacher about alternative grading methods? It’s always worth advocating for your own learning.

jaikrishna.t WB, I’m sorry that I didn’t reply to your long-ago PM on the forum…
I had a lot of obligations due to the illness and death of my mother, so I wasn’t on the forum for months.

Welcome back @jaikrishna.t!

I’ll try, but it’s unlikely that she’ll make such a change.

I’m very sorry for your loss, Oxy!

It all depends on how important those points in that game are for your final grade,
but if you see that the pattern is repeated and that you are always placed with the weakest students; you might say something like: “I really appreciate the effort to make our learning fun with games, but I feel that my individual effort isn’t being fully reflected due to the group dynamic. Is there a way to adjust the scoring so that personal knowledge can be better acknowledged?

This way, you’re being respectful while clearly stating your concern.

If the conversation with your teacher doesn’t yield results, check your school’s policy on grading and assessments. Sometimes there are guidelines for fair grading practices and appeal processes. It might also help to discuss it with a student advisor or counselor who can provide guidance.

Or tell her that she will be dealing with TL4 members of the IF forum :muscle: :crossed_swords: :fire:

Thanks - I really appreciate it :purple_heart:

I forgot to mention, for these three right buttons, it is enough to have a domain written on the label - you don’t have to press enter or submit button, they operate separately.
