This is a new 0day that affects VP8, different from the WebP one:
It’s unclear how many software packages that depend on libvpx will be vulnerable to CVE-2023-5217. Google’s disclosure says the zero-day applies to video encoding. By contrast, the zero-day exploited in libwebp, the code library vulnerable to the attacks earlier this month, worked for encoding and decoding.
Both libraries are released by Google… not a very good month for them
Better give me only bread and water to feed myself,
or simply put, I’d rather have my site on some hardware (server) = from the 90s
and that it works properly
instead of someone tinkering and configuring the server every third day and changing things
I’d rather only use Cloudflare to protect my website, instead of also configuring the NGINX testcookie module, because what happens if someone misconfigures the servers? This!
I couldn’t give a real omelette virtually, so I just looked up an image real quick and posted it. But I hope there will be some gadget that allows me to bring what I prepare to some other part of the world, like the city where Oxy lives!
I had three sleep sessions last night… I went to sleep at 3:40 AM after I stopped the first session, which ended at 3:26 AM, then woke up again at almost 5 AM, then went to sleep again at somewhere between 7 and 8 AM and finally got up at 9 or 10 AM!
