WP Super Cache Right Setup for Free accounts

Hello, need advise with regards to WP Super Cache Plugin for Wordpress, I saw some forums that mentioned your site can be banned if you use this plugin.

Expiry Time & Garbage Collection

so I’m thinking to change the cached expiry and collection settings. any recommendation?

Hello, and welcome to the InfinityFree Forum!

Last time I recall, WP Super Cache likes to use a lot of resources, which could suspend your hosting account. (I think it used a lot of CPU resources.)

In my opinion, a caching plugin isn’t really needed for WordPress sites. If you have a custom domain (like example.com), you could use Cloudflare’s caching features.

If you have a custom domain name, this playing has been recommended: Super Page Cache – WordPress plugin | WordPress.org

Having a cache system on Wordpress is a good idea to limit CPU usage, on top of what a CDN like Cloudflare can provide.

That doesn’t ring a bell with me. As far as I know, WP Super Cache is just another caching plugin for WordPress, and caching plugins can help improve page load times and reduce resource usage of your website.

I don’t have enough experience with WP Super Cache to tell you what settings are available, let alone what they should be.

Generally speaking, longer cache means lower resource usage but it will take longer for changes to be visible. I don’t think that there is a perfect setting that everyone should use, it depends on the use case.
