Working on an Apartment Community App with a Video Calling API

I’m working on an apartment community app where residents can communicate with each other and contact building management. The app is built with Flutter, and I’m currently testing the backend and API on InfinityFree.

The basic API requests are working, but I’m now trying to add real-time video calling between residents. I’m looking at using a video calling API/SDK rather than building the entire WebRTC infrastructure myself.

One thing I’m trying to figure out is whether InfinityFree hosting is suitable for an application that uses a third-party video calling service. For example, if the video calls are handled through an external service such as MirrorFly or Agora, while the application backend remains hosted on InfinityFree, are there any hosting or server side limitations I should be aware of?

I’d mainly like to understand how other developers have handled this type of setup with InfinityFree before moving further with the integration.

I would personally think this falls into the same rules as live chat.

You can’t host it directly here, but you can embed it from another provider.

As long as the video data doesn’t touch our servers, then there is nothing to worry about. I’m not familiar with either of the two services you mentioned, but as long as the app communicates directly with the WebRTC provider, I don’t see any problems with it.

However, I am surprised that you managed to get the basic API requests to work, because they aren’t supposed to work. We provide a website hosting service, not an API hosting service, and API requests are supposed to be blocked.
