Can you install Wordpress on both the main domain AND one (or more) subdomain?

Yes it’s possible, but if you’re looking to do it with the same root domain then it’s better to go with the multisite installation which you can do on Softaculous on the Control Panel.

Only caveat with Multisite is that you need to link multiple domain names to the same installation folder. You can do that with Parked Domains, but Parked Domains don’t accept subdomains.

If you want WordPress on multiple subdomains, I think the best option is to just install different copies of WordPress on each of them. Which you can just do without any issues.

I don’t find “Enable Multisite”

How do I achieve this with an already existing installation?

There is no “enable multisite” button in WordPress. It quite fundamentally changes how WordPress works, so enabling it is a bit more involved.

Will the different copies be linked to each other, or can you manage them seperately?

Manage them separately.
