Wordpress installation stuck at 4%

Website URL: reklamkraft.co

Error Message: N/A

Other Information: When trying to install WordPress, it becomes stuck at 4% with an “undefined” message, remaining like this for 20-30 minutes. I’ve tried to restart the installation but it has been unsuccessful. It’s worth noting that my domain was purchased through GoDaddy, in case that’s relevant.

Can you try 4 hours later?

This is the same problem I’m having. I’ve tried letting it sit for over an hour with no progress and tried again this morning with the same result. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Hi Victorg,

Personally, I would go with installing manually, it’s actually quite simple.

  1. Click this link: https://wordpress.org/latest.zip
  2. Find somewhere on your computer to create an empty folder.
  3. Drag that zip inside and extract it
  4. Log in to your InfinityFree client area and use the file manager to place all those files into htdocs folder.
  5. Go back to the client area and click on MySQL databases, you can find the database info there. Or create one if you haven’t already.
  6. Keep the client area tab and open another tab, and on the new tab go to your website: reklamkraft.co
  7. You should see a GUI for installing WordPress, simply follow that flow and paste in the database info accordingly.
  8. That’s all, your website’s up and running.

Cheers!

Hi, thank you for the help. I keep getting this error message. Do you know how to fix this or what i did wrong? Thank you in advance!

That probably explains why Softaculous is failing. You have too many files on your account (possibly from partial WP installs). Delete a bunch of files, wait 8 hours, then try Softaculous again.

For manually uploading a bunch of files, please don’t use the online file manager. It might skip a file, partially upload one, throw random errors, etc. a desktop FTP client (Like FileZilla) is much more reliable.

That might be the reason, but it’s weird that it didn’t work right from the start. Also, where do I go to delete the files, and are there any specific ones I should remove?

I’ve tried to look around, but I couldn’t find any databases or files in my htdocs. So im not sure that the failed WP installs did anything as they only got to 4%.

Solved:
Just install it with nothing extra, no plugins, templates, or anything. It worked for me, and now I’ve got WordPress up and running.
