Wordpress https working on http, why?

Installed Wordpress, specified https during installation. Now the domain immediately opens via https AND EVEN if you test www, then redirect to https WITHOUT www, BUT IF without www and remove S (http), then it opens via HTTP.

What needs to be configured correctly for the CORRECT redirect from www to non-www to work, taking into account https?

Edit .htaccess ???

But why, AT THE MOMENT, without .htaccess directives, anyone with www redirects to https without www, but does not redirect http to https, after all, I indicated when installing https.

You need to write clearly. Check this out

As @KangJL said, your text is kind of confusing. It sounds like WP is not forcing HTTPS, so just install the “Really Simple SSL” plugin.

wordpress is set to HTTPS

by domain opens via HTTPS

via WWW. domain opens via HTTPS

if HTTPS in the address bar is changed to HTTP, then WWW.domain is opened via HTTPS

if HTTPS in the address bar is changed to HTTP, then the domain is opened via HTTP

why the redirect from HTTP n HTTPS does not work, if the redirect from ANY WWW to HTTPS without WWW works

I know how to make a redirect in .htaccess, but why does not it work initially at the server level, after all, I did the installation ON HTTPS

there are 4 types of installation in the panel: http, http-www, https, https-www

and if you propose to configure .htaccess, then why does it show me that the server is nginx, how can I configure .htaccess without apache? )))

it works very strangely - it WORKS, BUT

shows that the certificate was not found, that CURL does not work, that you need to enable 301 redirects, but shows that SSL and 301 redirects are active)))

everything works, but it shows that only 35% of the SSL installation is completed, shows a bunch of some incomprehensible errors

I do not want him - this is nonsense

The server is not nginx. Are you sure you are using InfinityFree hosting?

hosting is not a server

What do you mean by that? You are hosting your website on a server, yes. Are you using InfinityFree, or someone else?

Would you mind sharing the URL so we can take a look for ourselves?
