Installed Wordpress, specified https during installation. Now the domain immediately opens via https AND EVEN if you test www, then redirect to https WITHOUT www, BUT IF without www and remove S (http), then it opens via HTTP.

What needs to be configured correctly for the CORRECT redirect from www to non-www to work, taking into account https?

As @KangJL said, your text is kind of confusing. It sounds like WP is not forcing HTTPS, so just install the “Really Simple SSL” plugin.

The server is not nginx. Are you sure you are using InfinityFree hosting?
