Yesterday I installed Wordpress and finished creating my website, but now today I can’t get the site to load, and the Wordpress Dashboard won’t load either.
I took a look at my Developers Tools in Chrome to see if I was getting any responses to the requests the browser was making, and it returned no files. Only two errors. I’ll paste a screenshot below.
Does this have something to do with the hosts of CPanel for InfinityFree? Is there a reason why my site worked fine yesterday but not today?
The home and FAQ page seem to be working, but the Contact page doens’t like to load
EDIT: I think it’s important to point out that the Wordpress panel is taking around 5 minutes to load each time I access it, with some parts of it not loading at all, and some loading partially. There’s no specific parts of the panel that load more or less than others. It seems to only want to load some parts some of the time, and other times not load at all.
After further inspecting the Network tab in Dev Tools, I’ve found that the main culprit is the page’s “Content Download” section of the Request/Response portion. I don’t know why it takes so long for the webpage to load, especially since it was working fine yesterday, but it take 4 minutes on average to finish loading, which is not good for business.
Is there any way to fix this? Everything was working fine yesterday. I haven’t changed anything except for deactivated a plugin to see if it was messing things up, and it turns out that’s not the case.
I would guess it’s a problem with the network connection between your computer and our server. Especially since your website seems to be working nice and fast from here.
Are you using the same device and network as you were using before? And are or were you using a VPN or something like that?
Same device, no VPN, same setup. I can’t get the Wordpress panel to load, and when it does load it only loads bits and pieces of the UI, and never stops loading (the loading animation on the tab never stops circling around.)
I tried removing all the plugins, using a different computer, and a different browser and its still the same problem.
Something must’ve updated or changed within the site or something because now today I’m able to access it just fine again. Not sure what happened before, but hopefully it doesn’t happen again.
I was reading about how to speed up Wordpress, and somebody mentioned to me that Contact Form 7, one of the plugins I was using, takes up a lot of resources. Maybe that was the issue?
