Wildcard subdomain shows “Domain Suspended” although DNS points correctly

Hello,

I have added a custom domain to my InfinityFree account and configured a wildcard DNS record

*.mefeocal.xyz → Account IP

DNS works correctly (all subdomains resolve to the same IP when tested with ping/nslookup).

However, when I try to open any subdomain like:
test.mefeocal.xyz

I get the default “Domain Suspended” page.

My main domain (mefeocal.xyz) works fine.

After some troubleshooting, I realized that my custom domain’s subdomain needed to be added through the control panel to be directed to the account’s IP address in the browser.

My questions are:

  1. Does InfinityFree officially support wildcard subdomains without manually adding each subdomain in the control panel?
  2. Is there any way to route wildcard subdomains using .htaccess or PHP without adding them one by one?
  3. Could this be a problem or misconfiguration originating from my domain provider?

I want to understand whether this is a limitation of the platform or a misconfiguration on my side.

Thank you.

Free hosting doesn’t support wildcard domains. There’re no solutions.

Except for upgrading to premium hosting. Free hosting indeed doesn’t support this, you’ll need to create every subdomain individually.
