I have completed all formalities and its showing issued, But SSL/TLS not working in my site?

Self signed certificates can have that problem.

If you go through the same steps but select “Request Free SSL Certificate” that’ll fix the problem once you’ve completed it

Your SSL certificate is working perfectly. However, you chose to generate a Self Signed SSL certificate, a certificate we clearly state is not trusted by browsers. So this is expected behavior.

If you don’t want this, simply request an SSL certificate from any other provider and you won’t have this issue.

Oh Hi there,

Are you using Wordpress?

If you are, Please chamge the general link (http to https)

No, that won’t do anything since the certificate is not trusted.

Isn’t it? I thought it was

Self signed certificates generally arn’t trusted by browsers, because… well they’re self signed.

Its basically the equivilent of when someone asks you for an ID card handing them a bit of paper that says “trust me bro” in crayon. Which is why you really want an externally provided SSL certificate.

What made you think that?

Also, we’re all telling you the issue is the self signed certificate. If three people are all pointing at one thing being the issue, then they’re probably right.

So It means I can’t buy SSL certificates “trusted by browsers” Right?

Most purchased SSL certificates will be trusted by browsers

Heck, most free SSL certificates will be trusted by browsers if they’ve come from a reputable provider.

Self signed ones wont be trusted by browsers.

I’m not sure what you’re talking about.

You don’t need to buy an SSL certificate. We give you valid SSL certificates for free. All you need to do is request it, and do not select the self signed provider while requesting it.

And basically any SSL certificate you paid for should be trusted by browsers. If not, you’ve either been scammed or haven’t actually purchased an SSL certificate.
