Trying to Add SSL certificate to electorx.epizy.com but getting message to set CNAME with the domain provider that is electorx.com from Goddady
I tried adding the IP of this account epiz_24279591 Still SSL certificate is not generating (other information and details relevant to your question)
Did you use SSL tool for the correct domain?
If you want to setup SSL for electorx.epizy.com, you need to get an SSL certificate specifically for electorx.epizy.com. SSL certificates are always only valid for specific domain names and require validation of that specific domain name to be issued.
You can’t just enter a random domain name you don’t own or an IP address that happens to host the site and expect to receive an SSL certificate you can just use wherever you want. It would be insanity if you could just enter “google.com” and get an SSL certificate for that domain.
So please delete this SSL domain and create a new one, select “Subdomain” instead of “Custom Domain” and enter the subdomain electorx.epizy.com there.
Ok, Thanks a lot Admin. I now understand better! I have to get SSL for the subdomain electors.epizy.com instead.
Infact I tried for the electrox.com as that is my domain which is basically parked with domain registrar.
If you want to host that domain with us, you can also get SSL for it. But you’ll need to request and install separate certificates for each of them.
If you already have that domain name setup with us but want to use Go Daddy’s nameservers, you can do so too. You just need to setup the provided CNAME records in Go Daddy’s DNS settings.
On the page you screenshotted, just below the part you took the screenshot of, are one or two CNAME records you need to setup. Those are the records you need to add.

I will update SSL of parent URL also at domain registrar end!
Please give me A record parameters/template of electorx.epizy.com subdomain to add in the DNS of electorx.com Domain! The IP shown client region seems to be that of epizy website, is not able to forward as tried updating the A record with this IP
How to update A record?
That’s the value shown for “Website IP” in the client area. But note that you will first need to assign the domain name to your hosting account. After all, there are many accounts on the same website, so if the server doesn’t know your domain name it doesn’t know which website to show on it.
