Error Message
I have this error on the main page: “Health Check: Unable to determine directory status. An error occurred while trying to check the directory of your website.”
File Manager is empty.
Website won’t load.

First thing, can you try connecting via an ftp to like filezilla to see of your files are still there?
If they aren’t, you’ll need to reupload then from your own backup as there is no server side backups
ok. i’ll chatgpt how to use filezilla - but why would my files disappear? the website was working fine yesterday.

Please don’t. It’s terrible. Look up a proper guide.
Any number of reasons. Not limited to server side issues. That’s why having a backup of important files is essential.
That it couldn’t find the home directory so couldn’t complete the connection.
This goes beyond anything I know how to fix, might need admin or one of the more long standing forum members to step in
The 421 Home directory not available - aborting message it telling, because it means that FTP access for your website is not available at all. If your website was also down during this time, then it was a problem with the hosting volume your website is on.
I just checked it and both your website and FTP is working now, and the health check notice is gone too. So whatever happened, it seems to be fixed now.
