Thanks for checking, BUT it still does not work for me - from Windows, Android or iPhone
Could you please try not just from a different device, but from a different network too? It’s possible your network administrator or ISP has some kind of “security” filter that is blocking access to your website.
I’m seeing this issue on a few sites here today
I’m on BT broadband, sadly I have no vpn or other network to try
I know its not ideal, but Opera GX browser comes with a free built in VPN.
Or I’ve found if I use TOR then I can also get arround the blocks that way
i think its another maybe long downtime? not related much to isp or vpn but server related
My site is also down on the my-board.org domain, was up earlier this morning.
Try changing your dns server
Change DNS on Your Router (Affects All Devices on Network)
• Open a browser, enter your router’s IP (usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1)
• Log in with your credentials (default often admin/admin)
• Find Network Settings or WAN Settings
• Replace DNS servers with:
Google DNS: 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4
or
Cloudflare DNS: 1.1.1.1 & 1.0.0.1
• Save and reboot the router
This sets DNS for every device connected to your network.
Given that all the sites I’ve seen reported as down this morning, I can access with a VPN, I think its a bit more complicated… I’m wondering if DNS resolution has been dropped by accident with some of the big dns services
This was exactly my thoughts
This has to be what it is. Its not easy for users to report this so I think Infinity needs to find out why they are being dropped from multiple DNSs. I am with Virgin Media in the UK although they may piggy-back off another.
I’m with virgin in the UK too. They have a horrid habit of blocking infinity free subdomains.
However, I now dont think its ISP specific. I think that Infinity Free may have been accidentally dropped on some of the big DNS services (not the ISPs)
I’m sure Admin will be able to look into it when he’s online. Since he runs Infinity Free by himself, he’s got a lot of work on
I tried it on my mobile phone, with wifi turned off. Vodafone UK also cannot resolve the address.
I think most ISP’s and mobile providers in the UK use one of only a couple of DNS resolvers. So that doesn’t supprise me
I can’t access my website either (using Chrome), although I can edit and supposedly publish the website. I’m on Sky Broadband. Hope this issue resolves quickly!
I’m also getting complaints from users unable to access my website. UK based.
Hi. I get this problem on BT Broadband and Tesco/O2 mobile. Will try and find another network
Problem is now fixed, not sure how. I did not make any changes and, as far as I know, nor did my ISP. Would like to know what action was taken by InfinityFree
It’s most likely that dns broke somewhere on the internet so connections were getting lost and it took a while for things to synchronize
