Since June 25, 0:00 UTC, the website IP 185.27.134.33 is experiencing intermittent outages.
Which components are affected by this issue
Websites hosted on the IP address 185.27.134.33 are affected by this issue. You can view the IP address your hosting account is on in the account details in the client area.
What issues may you see
If your website is on this IP address, you will likely see a Connection Timed Out error, like:
ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT
When will this issue be resolved
The IP address appears to be the target of DDoS attacks. Our automated DDoS protection system automatically disables individual IP addresses to contain the damage and prevent these attacks from overloading the platform and network as a whole.
Unfortunately, we have no way to know when these attacks will be over.
What can you do to fix this
Please wait for the attacks to subside. There is nothing else you can do.
I can’t do anything, only iFastNet or their suppliers are maybe able to do anything.
But generally speaking, you can’t really track where a DDoS attack came from. A DDoS attack works by getting a lot of traffic from a large number of IP addresses. Those IP addresses could be from server rental companies or hacked devices. In no case it’s easy to see who launched that attack. And even if you do know, the only real way to stop them from attacking is to throw them in jail.
We have no way to know. Some attacks only take a few minutes, some a few hours, some a few days, and some a few weeks. There is really no way for us to know how long it will take.
Check your website and you’ll know.
If we find out who is behind the attack, we’ll let them know.
We generally do not recommend to migrate your website during DDoS attacks. The attack could be over at any time, and migrating your website creates some guaranteed downtime due to DNS caching.
Additionally, by migrating your website you’re generating a lot of server load too, and a large number of people migrating their website creates additional system load which results in a worse experience for everyone.
So please just have patience until the attack is over.

is down. I did saw in the forum that the IP is experiecing DDos attacks. I tried to make another hosting in another account and couldn’t even register the subdomain.
Is there a problem?
If the IP address is down due to a DDoS attack, then your hosting account itself is completely in-tact. That also means that any subdomain assigned to the account is still yours and is in use.
If you then try to create another account with that same subdomain, then of course that won’t work, because the subdomain is still in use on your other account.
If you want to assign the domain to a different hosting account, you first need to remove it from the original account.
Has there been any updates on the issues going on with the server? my account is hosted on this ip, it’s been down 3 days are we sure this is just a simple Ddos attack. Is there anyway of getting a account transferred to a different server?
DDoS attacks are indeed relatively simple to launch, but very hard to fight off. And yes, DDoS attacks can last for a long time.
No, we don’t transfer hosting accounts to different servers or IP addresses. In the 8+ years InfinityFree has been operational, this has only happened once or twice.
Most times an IP address is attacked, it’s not done to attack our infrastructure, but rather to attack one or more websites hosted on them. If we move all websites to a different IP address, the attack would most likely also move to this new IP address, so it wouldn’t have much benefit for the availability of your website.
The downside is that changing IP addresses also requires a DNS change. If you use a free subdomain or your own domain with our nameservers, we can fully make that change, so you’ll only have up to 3 days of downtime due to DNS caching. But if you use your own domain with your own nameservers, it means you manually need to update the DNS settings in your own nameservers to bring your website back online, which could cause a lot more downtime than the attack it was intended to “solve”.
And that’s not even considering the operations effort and technical load generated by doing such a migration in the first place. All for a problem which could solve itself within the next few hours.
So any kind of bulk migration is just not useful. And no, we’re not going to make changes to individual accounts either due to the staff and system load of having to individually check requests and perform migrations.
I completely understand that your website being down for days is a bad situation to be in and you want to look for solutions. But please trust me when I say that we have had many attacks just like this before, and the way we handle them the way we do is based on many years of experience.
Honestly, what sense does it make to DDOS a free web hosting site where you gain nothing from it? Attention? Congrats, you just ruined the experience for everyone.
Eitherway, Good job @Admin on managing and tirelessly maintaining this service for the goal of having a free website for everyone no matter what. For a free service and in general, the uptime is extremally good; sometimes even better than some paid hosting. I would have expected there to be more downtime, but overall its amazing for free. And free did not have to be good or amazing, so good job for making free good.
