Webmail not working

Today(20180916 - 10:29 CST) I tried to login my webmail. But after loggin in, I was surprised that all the mails are untitled. I ignored it as a small bug, but I found out I cannot open emails(Failed to load email from server), also I cannot send or receive any email.

I’ve looked at my cPanel, but all is good, I set MX correctly, and my account is not suspended. I also tried to delete and re-create my email account or create an email on another domain, but it still doesn’t work.

I thought the SMTP server is temporarily maintenance, but I am also able to connect it by myself.

@Admin, what happened, and what can I do now?

There is no SMTP on free hosting, they are using PHP.

I did some checking myself and I cannot seem to send or receive email myself either. I’ve submitted a report upstream to get them to look into this.

SMTP is the protocol used to send email, PHP is a programming language. They are not mutually exclusive and you cannot send email without using SMTP.

The SMTP sending server is not directly accessible, so you must use RoundCube. But RoundCube still connects to an SMTP server to do it’s thing.

It turns out the issue was caused by a storage issue on the mail server. A workaround has been implemented so everything should be working again now, but it could break again in the future, until a permanent solution is implemented.

And before you ask: no, I don’t know when that will be. E-mail is a secondary service for website hosting so fixing it isn’t as big of a priority.

I see. It was fixed now.

yes it works
