Setting up clickadu (ad network) Meta-tag verification

Hello infinityfree forum, I apologize for budging in. I am trying to get clickadu verification done. I followed their instruction from clickadu to integrate their meta tag into my site by placing their code into the of my site however, upon verification I received this notice.

“No meta verification tag detected. Make sure you have inserted it correctly.”

Also, their html file which is already placed in my root folder was not detected.

“No HTML verification file detected. Make sure you have inserted it correctly”

If you checked my source code the clickadu meta tag () is properly installed.

I am quite confused by this? I am using the free hosting for my domain, and does the infinityfree free version of hosting unable to process this? Can you tell me if the problem is with my site or in the hosting as well?

it is because of infinityfree’s security system.

InfinityFree is a website hosting service. That means that the hosting accounts we provided are intended for hosting websites. Websites contain pages that are accessed through web browsers. InfinityFree is not intended to be used for file sharing, API hosting, database hosting or background tasks/tools.

Because of this security system, the following things will not work correctly or at all on websites on free hosting.

• Access through Android or iOS mobile apps (mobile browsers work fine).
• API access to websites (like WordPress XML-RPC).
• Access from cURL or other command-line clients.
• Website code validators and SEO checkers.
• Domain ownership verification checks which look at website URLs or HTML code. Some webmasters tools and ad networks do this.
• Let’s Encrypt and websites providing certificates through Let’s Encrypt (like sslforfree.com or zerossl.com ).
• AJAX requests from other websites (CORS). AJAX requests are only possible on the same (sub)domain.
• Hotlinking and embedding images and other (static) files on other website

Since you have a custom domain, have you tried using CloudFlare?

now i see. not only that the free server limits what can be access its restriction is mostly base on security. thank you.

No I have not. does this mean that in order for my site to be verified for an ad network or any domain verification processes I need to use/migrate to cloudflare? Thank you.

Our security system blocks the HTML tag verification from your ad provider from accessing your website. If Cloudflare is detected on your website, the security system is skipped because 1) it breaks Cloudflare and 2) Cloudflare can provide adequate security.

I agree that it’s a bit silly to have to use Cloudflare to be able to place ads on your site, but this is the way it is, unfortunately.
