Error Message

Website not showing .png images properly, shows the placeholder icon alone

Other Information

So I have finished testing the main page / preloader in XAMPP, everything was working fine … then I uploaded the .png images to htdocs using WinSCP - tried the website and the placeholder images showed up. I thought maybe the actual paths have to be a bit different, tried that - no go … downloaded all the files back to my PC, tested in XAMPP … same issue now migrated … was playing around with it for a while until I tried opening the images and the image viewer complained about not supporting this format. Upload to the Server seems to have broken them .png files.

I have tried uploading using the built in File Manager @ infinityfree, same result … images can no longer be open … very weird. This is more of a solution post rather than a request since I could not find any solutions on the forum, I tried to rename the IMG locally on the server by removing the .png extension … modified the without the .png extension only for one of the images and interestingly enough they all started working … almost as if the server started to recognize them after the first image loaded … very strange, not sure if I’ll be able to reproduce it but I can try with my other account

Please let me know if you would like me to try it out or if you will try this test yourself
Cheers !!!

All four images are working for me. Please try clearing your cache.

Hello, yes they are working now. As I mentioned I had to rename them (remove and add back the .png extension) ON the Server after uploading them to make them work

But on first upload they would show as broken and when you try to open them with a Viewer there would be a message saying that “the format is not supported”

I’ll try to reproduce with the other account and post some feedback
