So this is something very small… But also damn SERIOUS.
I’m using the domain pendrive.cf and I’m running the latest version of WordPress on it.
I have a plugin that I want to use, it is not from the plugin store, so I must upload it.
But here’s what’s up - the file size limit for uploading is 10MB !!!
My plugin is exactly 13 MB !!!
Request site admin to do something… This is so SILLY and INSIGNIFICANT … Sure as hell you can’t say thaT 3 MB extra is going to do anything wrong !!!
PLEASE CHANGE THE LIMIT FOR ME, I CANNOT WORK OTHERWISE. I HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND.
Extract the zip file on your computer, then upload the extracted folder with a FTP client on htdocs/wp-content/plugins/.
The limit cannot be increased for security reasons, so that is the only workaround to install big plugins via FTP.
Thanks a lot my man.
But I have a concern .
Im a non-techy guy.
I use a Mac.
Any good tutorials to help me get this done ? ( Love deatiled tutorials, KISS format would be much appreciated )
Click two times on the zip file to extract it, and upload the plugin folder with FileZilla configured with those settings:
FTP server: ftpupload.net
Port: 21
Username: you can find it on the Client Area
Password: you can find it on the Client Area, by clicking on the account where your WordPress is installed, scrolling down on some displays and clicking on Show/Hide to show the password,
on htdocs/wp-content/plugins.
