Error Message

Other Information

I’m unable to complete SSL certificate generation for my InfinityFree subdomain due to persistent “Not Ready” status. Below are key details:

Technical Context

  • Domain Type: Native InfinityFree subdomain (wuaze.com)
  • Browser: Google Chrome 135.0.7049.43 (Official Build, 64-bit) - tested with extensions disabled in Incognito Mode

Steps Taken

  1. Initial Setup (20 hours ago):
  • Configured CNAME record via InfinityFree’s automatic setup (_acme-challenge.usedcarrentals.wuaze.com)
  • Confirmed DNS propagation using third-party tools (DNS Checker)
  1. Troubleshooting Attempts:
  • Multiple validation waits:
    • 30-minute refresh cycle (initial)
    • 20-hour extended monitoring period
  • Provider testing:
    • Switched between Google Trust SSL ↔ ZeroSSL
  • Certificate order resets:
    • Deleted/recreated orders twice
    • Tested with browser cache cleared (Incognito Mode)

Current State

  • SSL state: Permanently “Not Ready”
  • System response:
    • “Request Certificate” button remains disabled
    • No error messages or diagnostic feedback

Any guidance would be appreciated.

According to the image, you still need to setup the CNAME record. You can verify if it is set up correctly by going to control panel.

Thanks for the reply. if i understand well. do you mean this page under cpanel.infinityfree.com ?:

If yes. it is already configured automatically. and when i try to add the values manually it says:

Duplicated CNAME records detected for the CNAME hostname.

Your record is installed correctly:

You mentioned requesting multiple certificates, so make sure the certificate you are trying to issue starts with “f9110688” for the CNAME destination.

Thanks for replying. Yes my current certificate i am trying to issue starts with “f9110688” for the CNAME destination. But still i am unable to click the request certificate because it’s grayed out. should i just wait for 72 hours or it is not supposed to be like that?

Nothing is wrong with your domain name, and something is definitely not wrong with your device.

The issue here is that while the record is setup correctly, the client area has trouble picking it up due to DNS caching. The client area should be configured for minimal caching, but as you can tell, that doesn’t work so well.

Usually, the solution with issues like this is just to wait. But I made a change to the client area backend that should help with this.
