Unable to access my InfinityFree account

Hello InfinityFree Support Team,

I am unable to access my InfinityFree account because I have lost access to the OTP code required for Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).

Unfortunately, I can no longer generate the authentication code, and I do not have access to any backup codes. As a result, I am locked out of my account.

I would appreciate your assistance in either:

Restoring access to my account by disabling or resetting Two-Factor Authentication, after verifying my ownership of the account; or
Disconnecting the domain name associated with this account so that I can connect it to another hosting provider.

I can provide any information necessary to verify that I am the legitimate owner of the account and the domain name, including account details, domain information, and any other verification you may require.

That will never happen

If you enable 2FA and then lose both the authenticator app and the recovery codes, then you lose access to the account. There is a primary method (the authenticator codes) and a backup method (the recovery codes), and that’s it. Privacy and security are very important to us, so collecting more data for ID verification or just giving access without strong evidence are not things we will do.

If you have a custom domain name, we can verify your ownership of that, and then we can remove your domain name from the current account so you can assign it to a new account. However, understand that this will not give you access to the current website.

If you have a free subdomain, then it’s not possible to verify ownership of it.

If you have a custom domain name and you’d like to have it released, please share the domain name.

I do have a custom domain name associated with the InfinityFree account that I can no longer access due to the loss of my 2FA authentication methods.

I would like to proceed with the verification process and request that the domain be removed from the current account so that I can assign it to a new InfinityFree account.

Please let me know what steps I need to follow to verify ownership of the domain and complete the release process.

Sharing the details of your custom domain is a good start.

Admin will them be able to check things like the name servers. He may then ask for you to make a specific change to verify ownership

If you remember the account and password of VPanel, you do not need 2FA
